BB Spelling Stables is proud to support 16 year old talented equestrian rider, Tiarne Hile, as she takes one of our beloved off-the-track Thoroughbreds into the eventing discipline.

This partnership reflects our commitment to providing retired racehorses with meaningful new careers that showcase the versatility, athleticism and willingness of the thoroughbred to shine beyond a career on the race track. Together, we're championing second chances and celebrating all things thoroughbred.

About Tiarne

Tiarne Hile is no stranger to the life of an equestrian as she has been riding horses before she could even walk!

While still young, she has been competing for many years and is a familiar face at equestrian events around New South Wales.

Tiarne has steppd out in events up to 1*, showjumped 110cm, competed in elementary level dressage and has tried lots of different disciplines but has definitely found her passion and niche. She has also competed at the prestigious Sydney Royal Easter Show for 3 years in a row with her OTTB, Smartie (Missile Heat) finishing in the top 3. She was also selected for the IS Nationals eventing team in 2025.

Tiarrne also rates one of her biggest achievements is coming home with the title of Most Successful Rider  and combination on the saturday at 2025 Picton show with Kenny, only haven ridden him for 2 months.

Tiarne is extremely driven by her high hopes for the future and ever bigger dreams in the eventing field.

While aspiring to achieve big goals in her chosen sport, Tiarne has discovered that she has an immense love for the thoroughbred. This love has allowed her to pursue another passion, retraining off- the-track thoroughbreds by helping them transition into a life after racing.

Tiarne believes that every off-the-track thoroughbred deserves a second chance and feels that with her determination and love for her sport along with a versatile, willing and trusting thoroughbred, she will achieve the big targets that she has set for herself, including one day reaching the top levels and one day competing at the World Gamees.

De Forerunner (AKA Kenny)

De Forerunner arrived at B & B Spelling Stables mid 2025 and quickly became a farm favourite due to his striking golden chestnut coat and white markings, earning him the name Kenny.

De Forerunner raced 27 times across the Provincial and Country circuits of New South Wales, with the odd Metropolitan appearance. Trained by Bathurst trainer Dean Mirfin, the son of Dream Ahead won 4 races with 10 minor placings, banking his owners over $100,000 in prize money.

While showing in the later stages of his racing career that his heart was no longer in it, since joining the farm he had shown more enjoyment in a more chilled lifestyle.

Since being paired with Tiarne the duo have been putting in many hours of training and Kenny has quicky been making a name for himself in the eventing space.
